Forewarned is forearmed as they say and having a home selling strategy will not only help you sell your home faster but will cause you less stress. So, what are the overall steps for selling your home with confidence and ease while getting top dollar?
  • Meet with your Realtor to determine your home selling price and your marketing plan. Ask your Realtor what type of marketing budget she or he will have for your home and get a detailed plan in place.
  • Review all financing options including seller financing and other acceptable terms. There are many creative alternatives to traditional financing today. Talk to a reputable lender and discover what is available to assist you in your home sale.
  • Make repairs or improvements that will increase the marketability and value of your home to prospective home buyers.
  • List your house with your Realtor.
  • Permit your home to be shown to prospective home buyers.
  • Consider home buying offers and negotiate a sales contract.
  • Have the necessary home inspections made.
  • Wait for your home buyer to qualify for financing.
  • Close escrow!
While the above home selling steps may seem simplistic, an awareness of these steps will help you sell your home with greater ease and less stress. To ensure greater success, make sure you work with an experienced Realtor; one with a proven track record and the marketing tools to assist your home sale. Talk to a loan officer or your CPA about home selling financing options as well. Home sellers that are creative and proactive in today's market are most likely to sell their houses the fastest and for the best price.
